3 arrested for gang assault in Saratoga Springs

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Saratoga Springs Police Department has arrested three people for a reported gang assault which occurred at the Whitmore Court Apartments early Saturday morning.

Police say they responded to the apartment at 4:15 a.m. to find a male victim who had been kicked and punched repeatedly, hit with a hammer, and threatened to be stabbed with knives.

Witnesses told police 24-year-old Theodore Pamper, of Malta, was at a party at the apartment and refused to leave when asked. He was eventually escorted out but returned a hour later with 30-year-old Aubrey Barber and 25-year-old Ryan Barber, both of Malta, along with two other male suspects. They allegedly broke into the apartment and assaulted the victim.

The victim was treated at Saratoga Hospital and released the next day.

All three were arrested Thursday after a police investigation. Police
are working on locating the other two suspects and additional arrests
are expected.

Pamper is charged with Burglary 1st-degree and Assault 2nd-degree, both felonies, and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail on $15,000 cash/$30,000 bond bail.

Ryan Barber is charged with Assault 2nd-degree and Aubrey Barber is charged with Burglary 1st-degree, Assault 2nd-degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Menacing. Both have been remanded to the Saratoga County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond bail.
