ALBANY, N.Y. – Students, staff and faculty from the University at
Albany will make another trip to Rockaway, N.Y. to help with relief work in the
aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

The group will leave at 5:30 a.m. and travel by bus to the Occupy Sandy
volunteer center, operated by InterOccupy, to get their assignments.

They will spend the day working as teams on homes, repairing damage and
participating in the rebuilding effort.

“Many UAlbany students are from the metro area, which means some of
their homes of the homes of family or friends have been impacted by the
hurricane. This trip is a way for the wider UAlbany family to care for one
another,' said Rev. Sandy Damhof, Protestant Campus Minister.

The trip is organized by Cornerstone Campus Ministry with the support
of the Office of Student Success, University Auxiliary Services and the Student
Association.
