Fire damages Saratoga Springs apartment building

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Members of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department are working to investigate the cause of a fire that broke out at an apartment building on Ballston Avenue Thursday night.

The fire at 79 Ballston Avenue started around 9:15 p.m. The Fire Department responded to the scene and observed
heavy smoke and fire coming from the second and third floors.

The building is a three story multi-family apartment building, located on the
corner of Ballston Ave and South Street.

The fire was extinguished around 10:30 p.m. All of the tenants were out of the building and there were no injuries reported
at the scene.

The top floors received extensive fire damage and the first floor suffered extensive smoke and water
damage.

Members of the Saratoga Springs Fire and Police Departments are on scene Friday morning investigating the cause.
