Sheriff’s patrol car struck in Saratoga County

CORINTH, N.Y. – A Saratoga County Sheriff's patrol car was hit by another vehicle while responding to an emergency call Friday morning.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office says the officer, Deputy Mark Nelson, was on his way to the Town of Day when another driver, 60-year-old Clyde Switser of Lake Luzerne, failed to yield the right of way and they collided at the intersection of River and Main Street in the village of Corinth.

Both the officer and the driver were taken to the Saratoga Hospital for minor injuries and released.
