SCOTIA, N.Y. – Two students were suspended after bullets were found at Scotia-Glenville Middle School.
Late Wednesday afternoon, Middle School Principal Robert Cosmer discovered that two middle school student's were in possession of five bullets, according to a letter released by the school district.
Cosmer reports that a student reported the bullets to the main office after seeing them inside of another student's locker.
Immediately after the bullets were reported to school officials an investigation commenced, involving locker and student searches.
The five bullets were found and taken into custody within minutes of the initial report, according to Cosmer.
Two students were determined to have been involved in the incident, and they have been suspended for five days from school.
The Town of Glenville Police are continuing an investigation into the incident.
“The district will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, including the possibility of police charges, if someone threatens the safety of others,” writes Cosmer.
