Police: 3 handguns, crack cocaine, and heroin found during drug investigation

ANDOVER,
Vt. – Police have arrested both a man and woman after an investigation into the
illegal distribution of crack cocaine in the greater Springfield, Vt. area. 

In
the Fall of 2012 the Vermont Drug Task Force began an investigation into the
illegal distribution of crack cocaine in the greater Springfield, Vermont
area. 

On
February  1, Gina Roperti, 49 and Ronald
Reddic, 54 were stopped and arrested on South Street in Springfield.  
As a result of the arrest, a search warrant was executed on Roperti's vehicle
and additional amounts of crack cocaine as well as heroin were located in the
vehicle.   Also found in the vehicle were three loaded
handguns. 

Ronald
Reddic and Gina Roperti were processed at the Springfield Police Department and
taken to the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000.00 and $100,000.00
bail each.  Reddic is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court,
Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Feb. 4 to answer to the charges of
Possession of Crack Cocaine and Trafficking Heroin.

Roperti
is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor
Unit on February 4, 2013 to answer to the three charges of Sale of Crack
Cocaine and Possession of Crack Cocaine and Heroin.
