Time Warner Cable tweaking ad policy when it comes to guns

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. –
NEWS10 has learned Time Warner Cable also taking a stance against guns being
used in advertising.

Under its advertising
policy, they will no longer accept ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns
pointed at people.

A spokesperson for the
company says “we stand by this policy and if it's essential to a business
owner to show this kind of imagery in their commercials, there are other
advertising options in the marketplace.”
