Many firefighters attending Webster memorial to stay for free

WEBSTER, N.Y. – Many of the thousands of firefighters expected to attend this weekend's services for the firefighters killed on Christmas Eve in Webster will be staying for free.

That's due to generous donations from the community of Webster, and from people across the country who have been paying for hotel rooms – even sending gift cards so they can get a bite to eat.

Joining those in Webster this weekend, will be a group of firefighters from Halfmoon and the Clinton Heights fire departments. They're set to leave Saturday morning.
