Local Pearl Harbor memorial events

ALBANY, N.Y. – The 71st anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor – the event that led to the United States' entry into World War II – is Friday.

A list of events in the Capital Region is provided below, if we've missed an event, please let us know in the comments section at the bottom of this page.

ALBANY COUNTY:

Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post No. 1520, 4 Everett Road, Albany – Hosting a remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. to honor six veterans for their service during the attack.

RENSSELAER COUNTY:

Troy Senior Center, 19 Third St., Troy – Will present a performance of “Until It's Over Over There,” at 11 a.m.

SARATOGA COUNTY:

The Earl J. Manning American Legion Post 490, 1 Legion Road, Stillwater – Conducting a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the post.

SCHENECTADY COUNTY:

Town Hall, 1100 Sunrise Blvd. – The town of Rotterdam will host its 19th annual Pearl Harbor Day Service at 1 p.m. on Monday.

The Empire State Aerosciences Museum on Route 50, Glenville – Showing the movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!” from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

RADIO:

WAMC Northeast Public Radio will air “As it was: Day of Infamy: Pearl Harbor over the radio” at 11 a.m. Friday.
