Man arrested for burglary, assault in Gloversville

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – The Gloversville Police Department says they responded to West Pine Street
on Monday for a report of an assault that had just taken place.

When officers arrived, they found one man had been physically assaulted and the suspect, 22-year-old Michael Anderson, of 25 Kent Street in Gloversville, had wounds caused by a knife.

The investigation Anderson had forced entry into the upstairs apartment of 33 West Pine Street
with the intention of assaulting the occupant.

During the altercation, Anderson received lacerations to the head and
the torso from a pocket knife that the occupant had prior to the assault. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Anderson is charged with Burglary 2nd-degree and Assault 3rd-degree. He has been remanded to the County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000
cash bail. Additional charges are not expected.
