VERMONT – While Black Friday is well established across the nation, one trend mom-and-pop businesses are trying to spread is Small Business Saturday.
This year, the state of Vermont is making a big push for the event. State tourism officials are challenging Vermonters – and even those outside the state – to do at least half of their holiday shopping at small businesses throughout the Green Mountain State.
This is the third year that Vermont has marked Small Business Saturday, and to find out what's going on in different parts of the state.
