Two arraigned in Pittsfield sexual abuse case

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Two Pittsfield residents were arraigned Thursday in Berkshire Superior Court.

Crystal Bushey, 31, pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless endangerment of a child. It is alleged that Bushey knew about the sexual abuse of a woman, now 18, and failed to report it to authorities. The incidents reportedly occurred between February 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011 in Pittsfield.

She was released by the judge on her personal recognizance on the condition she have no contact with the alleged victim.

Jason Bushey,31, had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two counts of rape, four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person who has attained 14 and one count of intimidation of a witness or other person. Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance on the condition BUSHEY have no contact with the alleged victim.

It is alleged that Bushey sexually assaulted a woman who is now 18, in Pittsfield between February 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011. It is also alleged that he intimidated the victim on June 15, 2012.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
