GHENT, N.Y. – Investigators have wrapped up their investigation into the fire at a Ghent recycling facility.
State and local authorities have concluded the fire at the TCI plant was accidental and no criminal charges will be filed against the plant owners or employees.
The massive, August 1 fire put people and emergency workers in three counties on alert and forced some people living nearby from their homes.
Earlier reports determined no harmful chemicals were released in the blaze.
The state office of fire prevention and control is still continuing their fire investigation.
