Three more arrests made in Albany homicide investigation

ALBANY, N.Y. – Three more men in Albany have been arrested for the murder of Alex Duncan on Thursday, Sept. 13th.

Duncan, 35, was found with a gunshot wound around 9:41 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13th at 104 Ontario Street. He was immediately taken to Albany Medical Center where he succumbed from his injuries.

Police initially arrested 23-year-old Bernard White of 522 Clinton Avenue, and held a second suspect relative to the investigation, 35-year-old Antwan Uptegrow, on a parole warrant.

On Wednesday, police charged Uptegrow with Murder 2nd-degree and Robbery 1st-degree following the investigation.

Police also arrested 21-year-old Uquawn Bean, of Albany, on Wednesday in connection to Duncan's murder. He is also charged with Murder 2nd-degree and Robbery 1st-degree.

The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Santonieo Miller of Albany, was also arrested Wednesday. Police say he refused to pull over and led the detectives on a brief vehicle pursuit the night of the murder. During the course of the pursuit a loaded handgun was thrown from the vehicle.

Police say 22-year-old Shaquan Oliver, of Albany, was taken into custody Tuesday. Police say they observed Oliver as the passenger in Miller's vehicle.

Miller and Oliver are each charged with second and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. 

Oliver was also charged with a parole violation, Murder 2nd-degree and Robbery 1st-degree for his role in the homicide.
