Schoharie hosts second annual flood relief concert

SCHOHARIE, N.Y. – The second annual 'Schoharie Valley Rock 'n' Roll Flood Relief Concert' runs on September 22, from 12 noon to 12 midnight, in the village of Schoharie.

The 'Rock 'n' Roll Flood Relief Concert' marks the kick-off of SALT's 'Way to Go Fundraising Campaign.'

Festivities, rain or shine, include children's activities from 12-6 p.m., food vendors, a beer tent, and bands, all day.

The Schoharie Valley experienced severe flooding following Hurricane Irene last year.

Many homes are not yet inhabitable.

SALT is the beneficiary of a challenge-grant that marks the kickoff of the 'Way to Go Fundraising Campaign.'

Any donations that are made will be matched dollar for dollar.

Donations can be mailed to SALT Rock the Valley; PO Box 777, Schoharie, NY 12157.

All proceeds will directly benefit flooded families of Schoharie County through Schoharie Area Long Term (SALT).
