Northway overnight ramp closures begin Monday

ALBANY, NY – Motorists are advised of overnight ramp closures
scheduled on Interstate-87 beginning on Monday.

The northbound and southbound exit ramps on I-87, the
Adirondack Northway, between exits 8 and 10 will be closed to traffic at
various times during the next two  weeks.
The closures will be in effect from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to accommodating
paving on the ramps.

The closures are subject to change based on weather.
Additional ramp closures are scheduled for the following week.

The following ramp closures are scheduled for next week:

Monday, July 16

Northbound Exit 9 off ramp. I-87 northbound traffic will be
detoured to Exit 10, then to Ushers Road eastbound to Route 9 southbound to
Route 146.

Tuesday, July 17

Northbound Exit 9 on ramp from Route 146 eastbound. Traffic
will be detoured along Route 146 eastbound to Route 9 northbound to Ushers Road
westbound to I-87 north.

Northbound Exit 9 on ramp from Route 146 westbound.  Traffic will be detoured along Route 146
westbound to I-87 southbound to Exit 8A, Grooms Road eastbound to I-87
northbound.

Wednesday, July 18

Southbound Exit 9E and Exit 9W off ramps.  Traffic will be detoured along I-87
southbound to Exit 8A to Grooms Road eastbound to I-87 northbound to Exit 9.

Southbound Exit 9 on ramp. Traffic will be detoured to Route
146 eastbound to Route 9 southbound to Vischers-Ferry Road westbound to I-87
southbound.

Thursday, July 19

Southbound Exit 8A off ramp. 
Traffic will be detoured along I-87 southbound to Exit 8 to Crescent
Road eastbound to I-87 northbound to Exit 8A.

Southbound Exit 8A on ramp. Traffic will be detoured along
Grooms Road eastbound to I-87 northbound to Exit 9 to Route 146 westbound to
I-87 southbound.
