ALBANY, NY – The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany ordained
two new priests on Saturday.

Bishop Howard J. Hubbard ordained the new priests in a
ceremony held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Albany. More than
750 clergy, family, and friends attended the ceremony.

The new priests are 28-year-old J. Michael Taylor, from
Macon, GA, and 29-year-old Daniel James Quinn, from Johnstown, NY.

Taylor converted to Catholicism during his freshman year of
college at the University of Georgia. He completed his pre-theology training at
Siena College. He
said it was, “Ultimately the Eucharist and what the church teaches about it,”
that influenced his decision.

Quinn graduated from Johnstown High School and
completed a college at SUNY Fredonia. His church assignments have included Camp
Scully, Saint Teresa in Albany, St. Ambrose in Latham, and St. Anthony in
Schenectady.
