Dr. Doberman is Clinical Director of Karner Psychological Associates (KPA). Established in 1985, KPA is the largest private provider of mental health services in the Capital Region of New York State. In addition to seeing private clients, he provides consultation and training for parents, clinicians, educators, and family care agencies and hospitals. He is also sought after for his expertise in applying his clinical skills for business consultation. He is the author of “How to Build A Happy Family, a guide for parents who feel they just don't have enough time.”
Dr. Doberman is a leader in the fields of Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, Family Therapy and Special Education, with over 40 years of experience in providing help to children, families and adults.
He holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology, is a Licensed Psychologist, and is certified in School Psychology and Educational Administration. He is a nationally recognized speaker on topics of family preservation and learning disabilities. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center; where he was the Course Director for Behavioral Pediatrics. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology at SUNY Albany. Dr. Doberman is Chairman of the N.Y. State Health Department Psychologists Medical Access Review Committee.
Although he is proud of all the above, Dr. Frank's greatest joy is in being a father of two and a grandparent of ten.
