Manhunt continues for man who attacked state trooper

EASTON, NY — Authorities say they're still searching for a 30-year-old man accused of driving a pickup truck into a state trooper after a domestic dispute in eastern New York.

State police used a helicopter and tracker dogs over the weekend to search the rural area of Washington County where Abel Jimenez was last seen after officials say he struck Trooper
J.P. Smith.

Police were called to Jimenez's home in Cambridge for a report of a domestic dispute late Friday night. Smith stopped Jimenez's pickup truck a short time later in neighboring Easton but police

say he refused to get out and drove into the trooper. Smith suffered a concussion and cuts and bruises. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The truck was found abandoned. Officials say Jimenez is a migrant worker who was working on a local farm.
