ALBANY, N.Y. — Police drained an Albany lake Tuesday as part of the search for a missing mom from Rensselaer County.
Police drained the lake, as divers waited to take to the shallow water to look for any sign of Ashley Carroll.
On May 6 Ashley was dropped of in the West Hills section of Albany, not far from the nature preserve.
She told friends she was meeting up with her boyfriend, but that was the last anyone ever saw of her.
Albany police say there is no information that the 24-year-old mother from Troy was ever taken to the lake, but they are conducting the search after a tip from the family.
“What really hurts us if something happened, she is lying out there,” said Jim Carroll, Ashley Carroll's uncle. “This could be your family.”
There is a $5,000 reward in this case.
If you have any information as to what may have happened to Ashley, Ashley's family asks that you contact the police.
Your call can remain anonymous.
Albany police say they will be back out at Tivoli Lake again Wednesday.
