Police, family members look for missing Troy mom

ALBANY, N.Y. — A Troy mom has been missing since Mother's Day and her family is desperate for answers.

Ashley Carroll was last seen in Albany on May 6. She was supposed to be on her way to New York City, but her family thinks she never left Albany.

Relatives are now hoping the public can help them find Carroll.

Ashley Carroll's mother stood with her family around her pleading for the public's help Wednesday to find her daughter.

The 24-year-old was last seen in the area of First and Quail Streets in Albany.

The family passed out flyers with Ashley's picture on them and posted them all over.

Records show Carroll, who lives in Troy, hasn't used her phone at all, over the past 13 days.

A friend had dropped her off in Albany May 6. Carroll told that friend she was going to meet someone before heading to New York City for a weekend trip. No one knows who.

Carroll's friend Courtney Deaton was the last known person to speak with her.

“She had an argument with her boyfriend and wanted to go to New York for Mother's Day weekend and asked me to watch baby and that's the last we've heard from her,” Deaton said.

Ashley's baby, now almost 2 years old, is the reason family and friends say Carroll would never leave indefinitely without contacting someone and checking on her child.

Carroll's uncle and the rest of the family don't think she made it to New York City because the jewelry she always takes with her on her frequent trips to the city is still in her apartment.

So are the dressier clothes her family says she would've worn.
