BENNINGTON, Vt. — A Vermont woman has pleaded guilty for her connection to a crash that caused a pregnant woman to lose her unborn twins.

The accident happened last August along Route 7 in Bennington.

Cook is now charged with driving under the influence of drugs and faces up to 30 years in prison.

Since the accident, the Blair family has been working to change Vermont law to enforce tougher penalties for causing a pregnant woman to lose a fetus.

Last month, Patricia Blair appeared on NEWS10 @ 4 to discuss her cause with Christina Arangio.
