SARATOGA SPRINGS — If you plan on going to a SPAC concert before the summer is over, you might notice some changes.
SPAC's concert promoter, Live Nation, has decided to open the gates of the beer garden for some shows, letting fans take their drinks where they please.
The new policy applies to most shows, including Sunday's Phish concert.
After an hour-and-a-half, Live Nation officials and park police will assess what's going on in the amphitheatre, as well as outside in the park. If things seem out of hand, they will stop alcohol sales.
Live Nation is working with state park police, and says they will be monitoring what's going on closely, both inside and outside the venue.
