It will be an additional seven weeks before convicted murderer Christopher Porco learns his fate.
His sentencing was set for next week, but Tuesday the judge moved it to December 12th to accommodate defense attorney Terry Kindlon's schedule.
Kindlon says he still needs some time to put together post-verdict and pre-sentencing reports. Kindlon has been busy with the trial of Yassin Aref in federal court – a case that wrapped up just last week.
“Virtually everyone in this office was involved very heavily with that, so we had time for very little else besides that,” says Kindlon.
Kindlon says Joan Porco remains in Rochester with family and does not intend to return to the Albany area.
Christopher Porco is still in the Albany County Jail, where he will stay until he is sentenced to state prison.
